How Atina Started

Atina began as a hobby, in a season of my life when I was grieving. Working with my hands helped. Sorting beads by colour, wiring stones one by one, watching a finished piece of jewellery take shape. It gave my days a small, steady calm, and before I knew it, I was making more pieces than I could ever wear.

What started as a way to heal slowly grew into something more. Friends asked for pieces, then friends of friends, and eventually Atina became a real little studio. But at its heart, it is still the same thing it was on day one: a table full of beads, and the quiet joy of making something pretty.

What I Love About It

My favourite part is picking out the materials. Choosing the stones, matching the colours, deciding which bead deserves a gold accent beside it. Then the wiring, and finally that moment when a finished piece is lying on the table and it is exactly what I imagined. So satisfying, every single time.

Why I Do It

Honestly? Nothing makes me happier than seeing something I made being worn by someone else. That is the whole reward. My hope is that when you open an Atina package, it feels like a small gift, even when you bought it for yourself. A little colour, a little meaning, a little lift on an ordinary day.

Every piece is handmade in small batches, so what you wear is never quite like anyone else's. If it makes you smile when you glance at your wrist, then it has done exactly what it was made to do.
